Máy trợ thở là gì ?

Máy trợ thở hay máy CPAP là là một dạng máy giúp thở không xâm lấn, nghĩa là người dùng không phải đặt ống thở – nội khí quản khi sử dụng. Máy sẽ cung cấp một áp lực dương liên tục, tạo một nẹp khí giúp đường thở không bị xẹp và hỗ trợ lực thở cho bệnh nhân. Máy giúp bệnh nhân thoải mái hơn so với máy thở xâm lấn. Công nghệ hiện đại đã cho ra đời dòng máy thở bipap có chức năng tương tự nhưng cải tiến so với dòng Cpap.

 

Máy trợ thở thường được bác sĩ chỉ định cho: Những bệnh nhân có hội chứng ngưng thở khi ngủ mức độ nặng. Ngoài ra, bác sĩ cũng chỉ định trong những trường hợp trẻ em có hệ hô hấp không hoàn thiện như hội chứng suy hô hấp hay thiểu sản phế quản phổi.
